Facilities & Amenities

Beach

All residents and their accompanied guests have access to the beach, but only Country Club members and beachside residents may park inside the Beach Gate.

Club members with RFID stickers may access the beach by driving through the RFID lane on the right; all other residents present residency credentials to the Beach Gate Officer via the Guest lane, and may use the beach access ramp to the right of the Country Club’s open-air pavilion to walk to the beach. This ramp is an easement for residents to cross the Club’s property.

Residents may also walk or ride a bike to the beach, and may use the bike rack located on the Club’s property to stow their bikes.

Residents who are not Club members may only use a motor vehicle or golf cart to drop off, then must depart without parking. Parking inside the Beach Gate is for Club Members, their guests and beachside residents only. A Country Club decal or Club dashboard pass is required to park in the beachside lots. Any vehicle without a proper credential may be towed.

Pool

The Community Pool is located on the south side of the Sawgrass community, at the corner of South Nine Drive and Sawgrass Drive. This pool is for the recreational use of all Sawgrass residents and their accompanied guests. Pool hours are posted.

Boating & Fishing

Sawgrass provides ample opportunities for all residents to enjoy the surrounding waterways. Swimming is not permitted in our lakes, but boating and fishing are permitted in areas that do not interfere with the play of golf or trespass on private property. Fishing is permitted from boats or banks; the fish, however, are unfit for human consumption. Boats on our waterways may only be propelled by hand, sail, or electric motor, and are permitted only during daylight hours.

Bank fishing is permitted in park areas on Preston Trail West by Lake Julia, Preston Trail East across from Deer Run, and Preston Trail East across from Osprey Point. Please do not trespass onto private property, including the golf courses, to fish. The golf courses are private property for registered golfers only; jogging, biking, or walking on the golf course or cart paths by anyone other than those playing golf is not permitted at any time.
